♥Pretty in Pink
Tuesday, May 27, 2008
Hilary Duff may not be one of my favorite Hollywood stars but at times, I tend to change my mind. And, this picture may be one of the things that do so.
Truthfully, my closet is jam-packed with grays, blacks, reds and a little bit of green but
never yellow, purple, lemon green or pink
especially awfully bright shades likes fuchsia. I'm not afraid of adding color to my style but it's more of being afraid the color would blind others. There are certain shades that are
too bright for my liking. Sometimes, a certain shade of color may not even complement your skin tone.
Though, I'll give props to Hilary for dawning the bright pink top nicely. However, I don't think I, myself, could successfully wear something of that vivid color.

♥Crazy hell of a week.
Thursday, May 22, 2008
It's been
days since I last posted anything. It's been really a hectic week for me and I've got loads to tell.
1. SUMMER CLASSES ARE OVER! Yes, you heard that right. The one thing that has kept me bitter and all riled up has passed.
Unfortunately, so is summer. Which gives me only a week before school starts
again. When, oh when, can I have a break?
2. This week I managed to catch up with a couple of friends who came home.
Missed you so much, loves! They attended my birthday bash, hang out, drank coffee and partied. It was fun while it lasted. Now, we have exactly just two weeks before reality slaps them in their faces shouting they need to go back.
Time flies so fast. Next thing you knew, you're stuck in your desk reading books much thicker than both of my thighs. Well, as of now,
not yet.3. As oppose to my reason of not posting (it being hectic week), it's actually because I had been studying for final exams and cramming a LOT. I've been juggling summer class, spending time with friends and at the same time,
enjoying summer. I know I've been ranting about how summer class ruined my WHOLE summer but that doesn't mean I have to rant all of my life about it and not enjoy the summer season before school starts.
...
I'd add other things but somehow those would be a lot personal.
It's going to be a
lovely week ahead.
Summer class is over and I'm totally

♥The sky is crying
Wednesday, May 14, 2008
It's been raining nonstop for days and is unbearably cold too. My clothes are wet and I'm all soaked and shivering to the bone. My hair is ruined too.
Sigh, so much for a wonderful summer. Seriously, rain during summer? The sun seems to be on hibernation as of late because all I see when I look up in the sky are dark clouds and the feel of rain hitting my face.
The weather report states that this would be happening for a while.
Nooo!! This could not be happening.
Stupid storm. Stupid rain.
Oh, how I beg and plead to the heavens, let the sun come out...

♥Gladiator Mania
Monday, May 05, 2008
(Left: D&G gladiator flat sandal Right:BCBG Max Azria 'Lizzie' Thong)
We all know Gladiator sandals are a hit this season and I'm betting most of you already own at least a pair. I mean, how could you ever resist? They are basically perfect for the weather in our country. Our feet can finally breathe and our little tootsies will be spared of all the blisters and aching pain we feel whenever we'd dawn a pair of high heels. They're the perfect summer footwear (besides flipflops, of course. Nothing can beat those). Pair them with any summer dress or a plain tank top and some shorts and you'll look effortlessly chic.
But then for the past month, I've noticed a change and that their designs and structure have gone a little overboard. Take for example: Gladiator fringes.
(Etro sandals)
About a month ago, I've come across
I am Fashion posting about gladiator sandals with fringes and how Vogue claimed them to be the "it" shoes. Though how much I adore gladiator sandals and the comfort they provide, fringes on them do not portray the least bit of stylishness. Honestly, I'd prefer a simpler version of that, maybe with less fringe or none at all.
Another new design of gladiator sandals that I've come across with are the jellies. Now, we all know the popularity of jellies ever since of last year with people setting aside their flats and high heeled pumps to put on a pair of shoes entirely made of rubber like Marc by Marc Jacob's jelly peep toe flats and jelly mouse shoes (of which I was disappointed to know they were copied and faked by some).
(HULK jelly gladiator sandals by Topshop)
Truthfully, I had never bought jelly shoes nor even dared to try them. Yes, they are comfortable but I wasn't at all fond of owning a pair of shoes entirely made of rubber nor does it scream "chic" to me. They awaken no longing nor lust, no attraction whatsoever. Unless you're 10 years old or younger then that would be a perfect excuse, if not, then don't bother. Gladiator sandals look so much better if its made in leather, topped with cool studs and sometimes with a hint of metallic touch, gold, preferably.
